 What you'll be doing:


The Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue profitability of the hotel by focusing on target accounts using proactive sales activities in accordance with the business plan and established goals. In addition, s/he provides support of all group rooms and event processes and procedures from the point of an inquiry until the booking is definite to maximize revenue and ensure, at a minimum, delivery of budgeted revenues.

Responsibilities will include bu not limited to:

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.

  • Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.

  • Participate in daily revenue meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.

  • Work with other departments within the hotel to provide exceptional service to customers.

  • Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.

  • Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.


To be successful you'll need:  

The Sales Manager must demonstrate energy levels that contribute to a highly motivated office environment providing consistently high levels of guest service, satisfaction and follow through. S/he must possess: refined communication skills with the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment; the ability to multi-task; and, excellent organizational skills. Additionally, the Sales Manager will provide assistance and support to the Director of Sales regarding all initiatives and sales efforts in accordance with budgetary goals, sales action plans, and client acquisition efforts


 The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a related field of study.


Progressive experience within a 3-4 star, full-service hospitality environment; minimum of 2 years of experience as hospitality Sales Manager. Ideally experience will include a proficiency in industry software systems such as Galaxy, Delphi and Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience can be combined to meet job requirements unless otherwise noted.
